’m excited about the possibilities.
Since 2003, I’ve been in the online news industry — both in the field, as a multimedia reporter, and behind the scenes, most recently as an editorial project manager.
Though layoffs, buyouts and shuttered news organizations have become commonplace, I still feel that this is an astounding time in journalism — a chance to rethink, reshape and rebuild the craft. I’m proud of being a part of that conversation.
Eric Schmidt of Google recently wrote, “I certainly don’t believe that the Internet will mean the death of news. Through innovation and technology, it can endure with newfound profitability and vitality.”
Despite the setbacks, I couldn’t agree more.
